SESSION DESCRIPTION:

According to the CDC, suicide is the second leading cause of death for children, adolescents, and young adults aged 10-24, only after unintentional injury. This session will provide you with information and guidance on how to identify and screen your patients and what your next steps should be for patients at risk.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  • Describe methods to identify patients who may be at risk for suicide
  • Summarize resources that physicians can use to support patients at risk of suicide
  • Apply strategies in their own practice workflows
